Jeff Owen brings eight years of sports marketing experience to Impression Sports & Entertainment and has been instrumental in the growth of the company. He has a very deep knowledge of the sports industry and his diverse experience within it has built a foundation on which his current success stands.
As Vice President, Sales, Jeff is responsible for cultivating strategic relationships between corporations and client properties, and providing consultation in all facets of the sponsorship sales process, including sales strategy, sponsorship evaluation, promotional activation, and client relationship management. His consultative sales approach and ability to foster cohesive relationships has allowed Jeff to work efficiently with clients of all levels from the C-suite to agencies to field marketing representatives and business owners.
Within his first five months of joining Impression, Jeff was able to secure two marquee partnerships generating significant revenue for his clients and providing measurable and impactful marketing platforms for their partners.
Prior to the start of the 2015 Major League Soccer season, Jeff brokered a relationship that saw the international brand Transamerica become the primary jersey sponsor for MLS’ Colorado Rapids. The multi-year, multi-faceted campaign is one of the largest and most lucrative sponsorships ever for the Rapids. Shortly after, Jeff secured Centura Health as a Founding Partner of the American Diabetes Association – Colorado Chapter with the most integrated and strategic partnership in the chapter’s history.
Prior to joining Impression, Jeff worked with Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan in Denver where he consulted with local and regional advertisers on the creation, development, evaluation, and execution of sponsorship marketing plans utilizing endorsements, event and experiential marketing, hospitality, and digital campaigns. His past work also included corporate sponsorship sales for the Colorado Rapids and for the University of Northern Colorado athletic department where he also managed all marketing, ticket sales, and licensing efforts. Jeff continues to teach courses on Sports Marketing and Sponsorship Management at Johnson & Wales University-Denver where he has been an Adjunct Faculty member for the past six years.
A native of Whitman, Massachusetts, Jeff earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where he played football and baseball, and his Master’s Degree in Sports Management from the University of Northern Colorado. An avid golfer and skier, Jeff currently lives in the Denver area with his wife Wendy, son Cooper, daughter Emerson, and their dog Boston.
